We are fully aware of the impact that our activities have on the surrounding ecosystem; for this reason, we pay great attention to sustainability.

Our polystyrene compactor allows you to speed up disposal times by reducing the quantity and volume of the material; this makes it easier to transport to recycling plants for the production of XPS (extruded polystyrene) and EPS (expanded polystyrene).

This type of recycling is achieved at very low ecological costs : just consider the high temperatures required for glass recycling or the considerable water requirement needed for cardboard treatment.

Our work is based on transforming ideas into reality. We do this by cutting polystyrene , a material we know in depth, having been pioneers in recognizing its potential.

We are fully aware of the misconceptions surrounding polystyrene, often due to a lack of understanding of the material itself. Like many other plastics, polystyrene is not biodegradable. If not managed and recycled properly, it can become a significant source of pollution, accumulating in the environment and being difficult to dispose of.

The rigorous recycling and reuse policies that we have imposed on ourselves play a fundamental role in reducing the amount of polystyrene that we introduce into the environment. However, compared to other materials, polystyrene demonstrates that it has an ecological and sustainable soul.

The material frequently identified as "polystyrene" is actually synthesized expanded polystyrene (EPS), which comes in the form of sheets, blocks, or pellets.

EPS is a polymer derived from styrene, obtained through a chemical process that converts a hydrocarbon into a solid substance. Its composition consists of 2% styrene, while the remaining 98% is made up of air.

This high percentage of air gives polystyrene characteristics of sustainability, lightness and versatility, making it suitable for multiple uses.

Energy saving with polystyrene

Polystyrene is a material with a very high potential if used for the thermal insulation of buildings . The energy consumed for the production of an insulating panel with this material is recovered over 150 times over time.
